SMHS Library Resources celebrates ‘Love Data Week 2025’ in February

Love Data Week 2025 is coming! To celebrate, SMHS Library Resources (in conjunction with Chester Fritz Library and Thormodsgard Law Library) is celebrating with educational events, a contest, and prizes!

Faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend an online or in-person workshop on: 5 things you can do to practice data management right now!

Students and residents can submit their images via LibWizard. Information on the contest and suggestions for how to create different data visualization forms can be found at LibGuides.

In addition, the Network for the National Library of Medicine is sponsoring a series of webinars. A viewing party will be hosted in School of Medicine & Health Sciences building, Room E422. Sessions will be recorded and can be viewed at a later date. Individuals may also register to watch in the comfort of your office by signing up here. Webinar sessions include:

  • Monday, Feb. 10: 1 – 2 p.m. Research data services landscape.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 11: 1 – 2 p.m. Charting a new course: Practical data visualization in excel.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 12: 10 – 11 a.m. An ethical reflection aid for implementing AI in libraries and archives.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 12: 2 – 3 p.m. Where do we go from here? Tools for finding and sharing data.
  • Thursday, Feb. 13: 3 – 4 p.m. From data to knowledge to equitable health transformation in the age of AI.
