UND to honor several SMHS faculty and staff at annual Founders Day banquet

Several faculty and staff of the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) will be recognized at UND’s 2025 Founders Day banquet, to be held Thursday, Feb. 20, in the UND Memorial Union.

Of particular note is that Dr. Archana Dhasarathy, associate professor in the School’s Department of Biomedical Sciences, will be honored by UND with the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Mentor Award. According to one of the nominations Dhasarathy received, the researcher is an “exceptional” mentor who “has significantly contributed to my academic and professional growth.” This is because, the nomination adds, Dhasarathy creates “a supportive, inclusive, and motivating environment for students through her thoughtful actions and genuine commitment to their well-being.”

Congratulations, Dr. Dhasarathy!

In addition to Dhasarathy’s award, four SMHS faculty and staff will be honored for 25 years-of-service to the University and another ten retirees will be recognized. The 14 SMHS employees to be honored for their service to the University include:
