Judges needed for Frank Low Research Day on April 22 and 23

The organizers of the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences premier annual research event, Frank Low Research Day (FLRD), are seeking judges from all departments. We highly encourage participation from every department to ensure fair and meaningful poster judging.

This year’s FLRD will be held:

• Tuesday, April 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for an in-person poster session.
• Wednesday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to noon for a virtual poster session.

If you have time to spare on either of these dates, we’d love to have you as a poster judge!

Please confirm your name as a judge for the in-person, virtual, or both poster sessions by emailing Melinda Banks (melinda.banks@UND.edu) or Masfique Mehedi (masfique.mehedi@UND.edu) ASAP.

Please note these differences from last year’s event:

• Separate events for in-person (April 22) and virtual (April 23) posters.
• There will be no video recording for virtual posters. All posters will be available on a web interface for the virtual poster session. A student-specific poster area will contain a poster (a .pdf submitted by the student), an abstract, and a dedicated Zoom link. Both attendees and judges will use the dedicated link to chat with the poster presenter during the poster session.
• There will be no abstract judging or pre-judging; however, judges will be able to see the web interface before the virtual poster session.
• All posters will be judged.
• There will be separate rubrics and awards for in-person and virtual posters.
• We will share judging rubrics for poster judging soon.
• All judges will have a registered access code to upload scores on assigned posters via weblink.
