UND shares multiple videos of SMHS leaders speaking with Pres. Armacost
Over the past ten days, UND has posted multiple videos dedicated to discussions ongoing at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
In the first video from May 13, Pres. Armacost speaks with Dr. Jacob Warren, director of the UND Center for Rural Health. Warren became director of the Center for Rural Health in December and recently made the move to Grand Forks. He previously helped lead similar centers in Wyoming and Georgia before coming to UND. A behavioral epidemiologist by training, Warren talks to Armacost about his background, his impressions of UND, and how the Center for Rural Health serves both the state and nation.
In the second video, the President speaks with SMHS Dean and UND’s Vice President for Health Affairs, Dr. Marjorie Jenkins. Now that Jenkins has had six months at the helm of North Dakota’s only comprehensive school of medicine and health sciences, Armacost asks for her impressions of UND and how she’s thinking about her role. Jenkins expresses her gratitude for the students, staff, and faculty who have welcomed her to campus, saying they all inspire her to be a better leader.
