North Dakota Brain Injury Network to offer ‘Brain Injury 101’ workshop March 18
Carly Endres, senior project coordinator with the North Dakota Brain Injury Network (NDBIN) within the UND Center for Rural Health, is offering a workshop entitled “Brain Injury 101” at 5 p.m. on March 18 in Room 343 of UND’s O’Kelly Hall.
At the workshop, Endres will cover the definition of brain injury, prevalence, common symptoms, and what it is that NDBIN does to help survivors, caregivers, and professionals.
The event is free and open to everyone. Interested individuals can register online.
In her NDBIN position, Endres works on developing, implementing, and managing program initiatives for people with brain injuries, as well as developing, promoting, and implementing NDBIN educational activities. She previously worked with Grand Forks Public Schools as a special education strategist. Originally from Grand Forks, N.D., Endres earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and master’s degree in special education at UND. In July 2019, she became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, and as of 2022 is now a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST). She is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational practice and leadership with a specialization in special education at UND.
