Retirement symposium for Dr. Jonathan Geiger to be held @NDMOA on June 12

Please join the UND Department of Biomedical Sciences as we gather to honor Dr. Jonathan Geiger’s contributions to the field of biomedical science and his years of service to the University of North Dakota.

A full-day scientific symposium honoring Dr. Geiger’s upcoming retirement will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at the North Dakota Museum of Art. Highlights of the event will include presentations from exemplary scientists, clinician-scientists, and Dr. Geiger’s former trainees.

Faculty at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences since 2003, Dr. Geiger is an award-winning instructor, researcher, and speaker whose name is included on literally hundreds of publications. Since arriving in North Dakota, Dr. Geiger has been awarded at least $60 million in extramural research funds for his many studies into brain energy metabolism, neurodegenerative disease, and the neurological complications associated with HIV-1 infection. He has given more than 100 invited lectures across the world.

Attendance is free, but registration is required. Lunch will be provided to those who register for the symposium and refreshments will be served.

See you there!
