Niwattisaiwong to discuss hyponatremia in neurological practice at Neurology Grand Rounds on June 4
For the next Neurology Grand Rounds, to be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, Soamsiri Niwattisaiwong, M.D., endocrinologist with Sanford Health in Fargo, N.D., will discuss hyponatremia in neurological practice. The meeting will be held in-person at the Sanford Brain and Spine Center, 2301 25th St. S. in Fargo, Conf. Rm. 1 and online.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize neurological signs and symptoms of hyponatremia.
- Differentiate syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) from cerebral salt wasting based on clinical and laboratory parameters, and apply the appropriate treatment strategy for each.
- Recognize and treat acute symptomatic hyponatremia as a neurological emergency and describe strategies to prevent overcorrection.
