Grants Management posts FY24 research data

The Grants Management team at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) has posted its fiscal year 2024 (FY24) research report. For FY24 (July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024) total research and sponsored funding at the SMHS was more than $32,500,000.

Other highlights from the report include:

  • Over the past decade, the School has been awarded more than $306 million in external funding for sponsored research and other projects.
  • While the School’s total number of proposals and awards was down a bit in FY24, relative to FY23, the School more than doubled the amount of state grant funded awarded.
  • The lead departmental recipient of research dollars at the School was the Department of Biomedical Sciences, followed closely by the Center for Rural Health.
  • The majority of dollars awarded to the School of course originated with the National Institutes of Health.
  • The top three principal investigators by award amount were Kristine Sande, Don Sens, and Roxanne Vaughan, with more than $3 million each in awards for FY24.

Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in research and other sponsored projects at the SMHS.
