Looking to publish? Library Resources can help
If you’re looking to publish and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, SMHS Library Resources has some transformative agreements to help!
Transformative agreements are contracts negotiated between institutions and publishers that transform the business model of scholarly journal publishing, moving away from paid publishing toward an open access model. SMHS Library Resources has two types of institutional transformative agreements: Subscribe to Open (S2O) and Read & Publish (R&P).
Anyone with an @UND.edu email address is eligible to submit publications under these licenses, unless otherwise specified. Current agreements are in place with the following publishers:
- Annual Reviews (S2O) – 50+ journals
- Cambridge University Press (R&P) – 400+ journals
- The Company of Biologists (R&P) – 5 journals
- Oxford University Press (R&P) – 350+ journals
- Springer Nature (R&P) – 2,000 journals
For more information about the journals included in open access agreements and access to a search interface (SciFree) that allows you to locate relevant journals, visit the Library Resources FAQ page or contact your librarian.
