The Athletic Trainer Service Award recipients have been involved in professional association, community organizations, grassroots public relations efforts, and service as a volunteer athletic trainer.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">&#8220;I am extremely grateful to be nominated and selected for the NATA Service Award,&#8221; said Westereng. &#8220;Being a recipient of this award is special to me because of the recognition coming from my peers within the profession of athletic training on a national level.&#8221;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">According to SMHS Associate Dean for Health Sciences, Dave Relling, P.T., Ph.D., Westereng&#8217;s 30 years of extensive service and leadership contributions to the state, regional, and national athletic training associations have not gone unnoticed.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">&#8220;Receiving the NATA Service Award is a testament to Dr. Westereng&#8217;s tireless efforts and passion for the field of athletic training,&#8221; said Relling. &#8220;His contributions have elevated the profession and inspired countless individuals to strive for excellence.
