The session will be held in room W201 at the UND School of Medicine &amp; Health Sciences in Grand Forks.<\/p>\n<p>Concept maps are an effective, visual way of integrating knowledge. Dr. shabb will briefly touch on their theoretical framework and see how they are being used in undergraduate biochemistry instruction at UND. Participants will then work in groups to create their own concept maps using Cmap software (<a href=\"https:\/\/cmap.ihmc.us\/\">https:\/\/cmap.ihmc.us\/<\/a>) and available classroom technology.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the group discuss how this approach can be extended to other programs, content, and competencies.<\/p>\n<p>The Evidence-Based Teaching Group (EBTG) hosts workshops and discussions based on topics determined by the expressed interests of its members. Membership and participation in the EBTG and events are\u00a0free and open to anyone on campus\u2014no RSVP needed.\u00a0This event will be recorded.<\/p>\n<p>The EBTG meets the first Tuesday of every month in SMHS W201 or W202. Past topics have included assessment, online learning, precepting, active learning, simulation, ADA compliance, educational scholarship, to name a few. Many of the past events can be <a href=\"https:\/\/med.und.edu\/education-resources\/evidence-teaching-group.html\" target=\"_blank\">streamed from our website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in anything related to evidence-based teaching, join us!
