This presentation will be broadcast via Zoom and video conferencing. Dr. Desai is a second year resident in UND&#8217;s Psychiatry Residency Training Program. UND Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor and Vice President for Research at Sanford Health in Fargo, N.D., Stephen Wonderlich, Ph.D., will service as Dr. Desai\u2019s discussant.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Discuss the findings of the CDC-Kaiser Permanente Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the association between childhood maltreatment and adult depression through meta-analysis and systemic reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Identify processes mediating childhood abuse and depression.<\/li>\n<li>Describe treatment options, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This Grand Rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School\u2019s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via video conference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
