This broadcast will be held via Zoom\/video conferencing. Dr. Desai is a third-year resident in the SMHS Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Amber Dew, LAC, LMSW, LGSW, CCTP, a consult liaison to the Sanford Health Integrated Behavioral Health Treatment Team, will serve as Dr. Desai\u2019s discussant.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explain the connection between alcoholism and suicidality<\/li>\n<li>Describe shared risk factors and pathways in pathogenesis<\/li>\n<li>Describe shared neurobiological features<\/li>\n<li>Discuss treatment interventions including acute stabilization and pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic interventions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Grand Rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School\u2019s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via video conference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
