Academic, teaching, and service awards were awarded on behalf of the School and the North Dakota Medical Association, including:<\/p>\n<p><strong>North Dakota Medical Association Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Awarded to second-year students nominated by their peers, the M.D. Class of 2025, and recognized for outstanding performance in the following three curricular areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Group Leadership and Professionalism \u2013\u00a0Steffan Stroh, Underwood, Minn.<\/strong><br \/>\nEngages in ethical conduct, facilitates group interaction and productivity, motivates others to learn, exhibits personal integrity, and interacts with others appropriately with respect and courtesy<\/li>\n<li><strong>Peer Teaching \u2013\u00a0Regan Bradley, Bismarck, N.D.<\/strong><br \/>\nOutstanding contributions to the group&#8217;s database and facilitating group learning, skillful and accurate presentations, and willingness to assist fellow classmates to learn concepts they do not understand<\/li>\n<li><strong>Integration of Basic Science and Clinical Application\u00a0\u2013 Sean Keup, Plymouth, Minn.<\/strong><br \/>\nAbility to analyze problems, generate hypotheses, set priorities, test hypotheses and formulate alternative hypotheses, draw appropriate conclusions, and apply the knowledge to patient cases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SMHS Academic Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following awards are given to second-year medical students in recognition of their overall\u00a0academic achievements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The DeBoer Memorial Award\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Seth Buryska, Rochester, Minn.<\/strong><br \/>\nGiven in memory of Mrs. Benjamin DeBoer and presented by the Department of Biomedical Sciences<\/li>\n<li><strong>Philip H.
