MSII: Preparing for clinical years

Three informal lunch meetings for second-year students to discuss your clinical years as a medical student will be held Jan. 29, Feb. 11, and Feb. 19. Dr. Joycelyn Dorscher, Dr. Susan Zelewski (assistant dean for the Grand Forks campus), Dr. Pat Carr, Jennifer Duffy, and Michelle Montgomery will be available to discuss what to expect in your third and fourth years, resources available, general information, and any other questions you may have regarding your clinical years.

The Jan. 29 and Feb. 19 dates will be held  at noon, while the Feb. 11 session will be held at 11 a.m. Look for an email from Cindy to register for a session.

Also, note that Essentia Health prohibits shadowing of physicians at their locations. However, students may take rotations at Essentia during their clinical years.

Many of you met with Dr. Dorscher regarding your “Achieve” meeting last fall. If you still need to schedule a meeting, please contact Cindy Stromme. You can meet individually or in small groups.
