MSPE<\/h3>\n

You will have a chance to view the first draft of your MSPE before it becomes finalized. The timeline has not yet been determined, but we\u2019re hoping you\u2019ll have the first draft by the end of August. Once you receive your draft, please review it in a timely manner. The sooner the draft is approved, and final changes are made, the sooner it will be downloaded to the residency application service you are applying through. Your Phase 2 campus dean will receive a link to review the draft as well. Be assured that your documents will be downloaded prior to the 9\/24\/25 date in which residencies can begin to review your applications.<\/p>\n

The comments from each of your clerkships will be taken from the summative comments area of your LEO evaluations verbatim. If you have any comments from your clerkship evaluations that you don\u2019t agree with, you must contact the preceptor to have them officially changed in LEO. Other than punctuation or simple grammar changes, we cannot change the content of the written evaluations without the preceptor\u2019s permission. Please do so now rather than a month from now to ensure a timely result.<\/p>\n

GRADES and MSPE<\/h3>\n

Phase 3 electives in periods 1, 2, and 3 will need to be uploaded to LEO by 8\/15\/25 at the very latest to be included in the Dean\u2019s Letter. Period 3 grades may not make it by the deadline but if you are adamant about wanting it in the Dean\u2019s Letter, it is your responsibility to request that your preceptors complete the evaluation early. All grades will be completed by then, but elective grades may not be.<\/p>\n

In keeping with the AAMC recommendations to provide an honest and objective assessment of the student\u2019s performance relative to their peers for their Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) or Deans Letter, the SMHS uses ranking terms to compare Phase 2 grade percentages between other students in their graduating class.\u00a0The ranking terms are below\u2026<\/p>\n
