Sisters mark a new generation of Falcons in health care

Emily and Elizabeth Falcon are both graduating in 2022 from INMED degree programs. But they’re not the first in the Falcon family to do so. Their father, Gilbert Falcon, is also an INMED graduate (2009)  and currently serves his community as a Family Physician at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care facility in Belcourt, ND.

Emily will graduate from the University of North Dakota with her M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) degree. She begins her Family Practice residency program at the University of North Dakota, Minot, this summer. In the meantime, she plans to spend time and travel with her family and new son.

Elizabeth will graduate from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and participated in the Honors Program. Elizabeth plans to return to Belcourt to gain experience as a nurse before pursuing more training. Her goal is to eventually become a labor and delivery nurse.

Both sisters have deep connections to INMED. Elizabeth has participated in INMED for nine years, including Summer Institute for two summers. Emily has been an INMED student for ten years, including Summer Institute and tutoring for the INMED program.
