Neumann Awarded NASA Internship
Andrea Neumann, Senior in Atmospheric Sciences, has been awarded a NASA Space Grant Internship for summer 2009. She will be analyzing airborne and ground based measurements of precipitation from arctic stratus clouds. Precipitation rates are a component of the cloud water balance that characterizes the life cycle of these cloud layers. The NASA Space Grant Internship Program has as its goals to: identify, recruit and retain students in mathematics, science, engineering; encourage women and underrepresented students to enter these fields of study; and increase NASA activities and awareness in North Dakota.
