Kendell LaRoche to Participate in Computational Training and NASA Internship

Atmospheric Sciences M.S. graduate student, Kendell LaRoche, has been selected to participate in the “Intensive Summer School in Computation for Environmental Sciences” sponsored by NASA-University of Virginia.  Through both lectures and hands-on labs, Kendell and 19 other students will learn skills in programming, advanced visualization, high-performance computing, and software engineering with emphasis on environmental-science applications.  After that, Kendell will travel to Marshall Space Flight Center to participate in a NASA-funded research project involving lightning and electrified pyrocumulus clouds.   Congratulations Kendell!
