IBM Systems Group has openings for entry-level and early tenure Firmware Design Engineers to develop advanced storage products. Majors in Computer Engineer and Electrical Engineering are sought to develop these embedded systems. Firmware Design Engineers participate in various aspects of the embedded systems development and verification process such as: architecture, design and write firmware for new features/functions, perform unit tests on firmware components to verify proper function including both normal operation and error path scenarios, and perform lab debug to identify and fix problems.Working with a Firmware Engineering team, the candidate would develop code for IBM’s RAID Storage solutions. These industry leading adapters are optimized for Solid State Disk (SSD) performance and are used in multiple IBM Brands including POWER, System-z, TotalStorage, and Flash Systems.
