Michael Dodge Moderates Panel Discussion at ABA Space Law Symposium

Dr. Dodge attended the American Bar Association’s Space Law Symposium, “Space Law: Current and Future Issues,” in Washington D.C. on June 8. He moderated the panel on “Space Law & Policy: Mars, the Moon, and the Legal and Policy Implications of Human Space Exploration,” which concerned how the United States, and its partners in private industry, plan to tackle the challenges of exploring and settling on celestial bodies. His panelists were people from state and federal government, as well as academia., as Dr. Dodge reported that there were vigorous disagreements on how to interpret both U.S. constitutional and international law which was very heated at times, but it was a well-received discussion.
