ND Educators: Apply now to attend a hands-on NASA conference!

Attention North Dakota pre-and in-service educators! 

The North Dakota Space Grant Consortium (NDSGC) is now accepting applications for up to four North Dakota-based educators to attend the Space Exploration Educator’s Conference (SEEC), which is a hands-on and immersive NASA conference at Space Center Houston (TX). To apply, please see the application process below:

 

Who can apply: Any North Dakota K-12-based educator (ND College students majoring in Education fields and teacher educators are also eligible to apply.)

WhatSpace Exploration Educators Conference (SEEC)

Where: Houston, TX (NASA Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston)

When: February 6-8, 2020

Why: It’s a great opportunity to learn and DO hands-on space-related or STEM activities that you can take back to the classroom.  The sessions are taught by NASA scientists and engineers, and educators from across the country.  Some of the special sessions include tours of NASA Johnson Space Center, Rocket Park, and each year there is even a scuba diving session to train just like the astronauts do!

Logistics: Between direct funding and reimbursements, the NDSGC will support expenses (such as: registration fee, lodging, airfare, transportation, per diem, etc.)

 

If you are interested in applying for ND Space Grant funding, applications are due: Monday, November 4, 2019.
