2022 NDSGC Affiliates Meeting and Student Symposium

The North Dakota Space Grant Consortium (NDSGC) is inviting you to the 2022 Student Symposium and Affiliates Meeting! At this yearly meeting, the NDSGC team recaps the past year, students present their NDSGC funded work and experiences, and an affiliates business meeting is held. This year’s NDSGC Student Symposium & Affiliates Meeting will be held on April 8^th & 9^th, 2022 and is a hybrid meeting; both in-person and online attendance is available. If you will be attending this event in person, it will be held in Robin Hall on the UND campus.

NDSGC-funded students (travel grant recipients, mini-grant recipients, interns, STEM Ambassadors, fellows), please register as soon as possible so you can find a time slot that works for you. We will do our best to accommodate all presenters, but time slots are subject to change.

We encourage you to register in the coming weeks so the NDSGC can gather a headcount for attendance and meals.

Registration:

Please register for the meeting using this link: 2022 NDSGC Student Symposium and Affiliates Meeting Registration Form. Presenters, presentation information can be found within the registration form. This includes the Presenter Guidance Document.

Meals:

NDSGC will provide all attendees with breakfast, lunch, and snacks on Friday and Saturday. Space Grant will host a dinner on Thursday night. Meeting attendees will receive a per diem reimbursement for meals not covered by the conference. Reimbursements will be processed after the event.

Transportation:

All attendees traveling will receive the in‐state travel reimbursement rate for North Dakota. Reimbursements will be processed after the event. State fleet vehicles are encouraged for all affiliates (faculty, staff, and students). Please contact the NDSGC team if you need help setting this up.

Hotel information:

You are responsible for booking and paying for your own room; Space Grant will process hotel reimbursements after the event. Rooms are available only for Thursday (4/7) and Friday (4/8) night. Please choose a hotel from one of the following listed on this spreadsheet: 2022 Student Symposium and Affiliates Meeting Hotels. When checking out, make sure your receipt displays a $0.00 total with proof of a charge to your personal card. Please present this tax-exempt document when checking out to avoid unnecessary tax fees: UND Tax Exempt Document. If you need any assistance with this, please reach out to the NDSGC Team. NOTE: Please reserve rooms as soon as you can, most hotels in the Grand Forks area are fully booked on April 7^th, 8^th, and 9^th due to the Jr. Grand Am basketball tournament.
