Prof. Aaron Kennedy Receives NSF EAGER Award

Dr. Aaron Kennedy, Assistant Professor, received a $167k, two-year NSF award titled: “EAGER: Observations of Falling and Lofted Snow in Windy Environments“.  This project will develop and deploy novel instrumentation to measure properties of falling and blowing snow.  It includes a substantial educational outreach program that culminates in an educational field campaign during the winter of 2019-2020.

Skycam Crowdfunding Success

The Atmospheric Sciences department reached funding status for the purchase of a SkyCam and it is in the process of being purchased. Given available funding, the camera will be mounted on top of Clifford hall and will face west, overlooking Ryan and Robin Halls. Thank you to all that contributed!
