American Indian Health Research Conference to be held at SMHS Oct. 19

“Indigenous Health, Research, and Resiliency” is the theme for the seventeenth annual American Indian Health Research Conference (AIHRC), taking place at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences on Saturday, Oct. 19. The keynote speaker for the AIHRC is Nicole Redvers, ND, MPHc, an assistant professor with Indians Into Medicine (INMED) at the School. Redvers is a licensed naturopathic doctor who has traveled the world studying a variety of traditional medicine systems and working with Indigenous patients, helping to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medical systems.

The AIHRC is a daylong event featuring speakers, researchers, students, and community members presenting and discussing their research within American Indian communities. It also serves as an opportunity for participants to network and partner with communities, tribal colleges, and researchers on other projects.
