Benson presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on threat assessment March 16
Dr. Stacey Benson, Psy. D., will present “Threat assessments part two: Case examples” for the next Psychiatry Grand Rounds from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16. This broadcast will be held via Zoom/video conferencing. Dr. Benson is licensed clinical psychologist and president and CEO at Benson Psychological Services, PC, and a clinical assistant professor at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences based in Fargo, N.D.
Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:
- Identify the basic components of a comprehensive threat assessment.
- Recognize the warning signs and escalation in the case example presented.
- Identify three interventions tried by the parents in the case example that were intended to interrupt the pathway to violence.
