Law Graduates Participate in Winter Commencement

winter-18-2The University of North Dakota held its Winter Commencement ceremony for graduate and professional degrees on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the UND campus.

Thirteen law students completed the required coursework to earn the Juris Doctor degree.  Three graduates participated in the winter ceremony. Interim Dean Bradley Myers presented the candidates to UND President Mark Kennedy for the official conferring of the law degree. Each graduate crossed the stage to receive a doctoral hood from UND Law Professors Michael McGinniss and Julia Ernst and a diploma cover from President Kennedy.

President Kennedy, in his remarks, encouraged the new UND graduates to unleash the waves others must surf and to drive change in a fast-paced world. UND Law alumnus Daniel Traynor, ’97, brought greetings and congratulations to the new graduates from the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education.
