FARGO – West Acres is filling a couple of storefronts this fall.

Vella Kids Boutique is planning to hold the grand opening of its first storefront Sept. 25 in the JCPenney wing, while Hairology, a full-service beauty salon, will move into the space formerly occupied by Regis Salon. An opening date for the salon has not been announced.

“We are growing and opening a storefront really soon! Drop a if you want an invite to our Sip & Shop private event before our grand opening,” Vella Kids announced Tuesday, Sept. 14, on its Facebook page.

West Acres followed that announcement with more details on Wednesday, Sept. 15.

“We are so excited to announce that Vella Kids Boutique, a locally-owned baby and children’s boutique, will hold the grand opening of their very first storefront on September 25th, in the JCPenney wing!” the mall said on its Facebook page.

Ashley Halvorson is owner of Vella Kids Boutique.

Halvorson previously worked as a family law attorney in the Fargo area. She graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

“What started as our chosen pop-up business for The Local Collective by West Acres concept, quickly turned into a decision to become a longer-term tenant, and we couldn’t be more excited to add this baby and kids apparel and accessories boutique to the West Acres family! Please join us in welcoming and congratulating them,” the mall’s Facebook post said.
