Dean Brian Pappas addressed the ABA House of Delegates at the ABA Annual Meeting in Denver
He spoke in favor of Resolution 501 that encourages civility in public discourse
The now adopted resolution was brought forward by the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution in which Dean Pappas is the outgoing Chair.
The Resolution effectively asks the House of Delegates to reaffirm 11A108 that affirms the principle of civility as a foundation for democracy and the rule of law and urges “all lawyers, ABA member entities, and other bar associations to take meaningful steps to enhance the constructive role of lawyers in promoting a more civil and deliberative public discourse.”
