Honoring Excellence in Advocacy: Highlights from the 2025 Carrigan Cup Competition

A Showcase of Skill, Preparation, and Professionalism in Trial Advocacy

Congratulations to all the participants in this year’s Carrigan Cup Competition! The time, effort, and energy put into preparing for and performing at the competition are truly commendable. Your commitment to advancing the art of trial advocacy is admirable.  And your skills? Well, let’s just say the future of our legal profession is bright with advocates like you in it!

In a thrilling final round, the team of Daniella Tavares (3L) and Victoria Stutsky (3L) faced off against Lily Burnside (3L) and Taylor House (3L). After a hard-fought round, Daniella and Victoria emerged victorious as the 2025 Carrigan Cup Champions, while Taylor House was named Best Oralist for her outstanding advocacy.

We also want to extend heartfelt thanks to Kennedy Bergh (3L) and Maddison Schoenberg (3L), who served as Student Directors of this year’s competition. Your leadership, organization, and professionalism played a vital role in making this year’s event a success.
