UND School of Law Alum Christene Reierson Appointed to North Central Judicial District Judgeship

Class of 2007 graduate brings nearly two decades of legal experience to the North Dakota bench.

University of North Dakota School of Law alumna Christene Reierson (’07) has been appointed by Gov. Kelly Armstrong to serve as a judge in the North Central Judicial District. The appointment, announced Sept. 29, will take effect Nov. 16.

A Minot attorney, Reierson has operated her own practice, Reierson Law Office P.C., since 2015, representing clients in a wide range of legal matters. Prior to opening her practice, she served as an assistant state’s attorney for Ward County from 2009 to 2015 and completed law clerkships in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Reierson earned her law degree from UND School of Law in 2007, following an undergraduate degree in business administration from North Dakota State University. She has also contributed to the legal community through her involvement with the North Central Judicial District Treatment Court and her recent appointment to the North Dakota Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Board.

Her appointment fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Todd Cresap. Reierson will serve the North Central Judicial District, which includes Burke, Mountrail, and Ward counties.
