Parking Changes for 2024/25

With permit sales soon going live, we wanted to provide some information that covers most of the changes being made regarding parking at UND.

Due to an increase in the overall population at UND, some lots have been ‘re-zoned’ to allow different permits than in previous years. Please take a few minutes to review the UND Parking Map to see how these changes may impact your parking behavior while on campus. Note that Resident Hall Convenient Parking and the Parking Ramp permits will sell out.

Changes include:

  • Parking Ramp: All levels will be mixed use by ramp permit holders, hourly Pay-To-Park parking or for event parking. The exception with the ramp, is the first floor, west side (entrance off University Ave), this will remain as-is, hourly parking/special reserved permits.
  • Chester Fritz Auditorium lot: Increased number of spaces for students living in the residence halls north of University Ave. and Johnstone/Smith.
  • Gustafson, Burtness and Hyslop lots: Converting from ‘A’ to ‘A/S’ commuter lots.
  • Strinden Rd: Converted from Passport parking to ‘A/S’.
  • Facilities lot: Converting north row from ‘A/S’ to Elm only and middle row will be dual use ‘A/S/Elm’.
  • Greek Zones: Converting from ‘A/S’ to Greek in the small lot west of Oxford St.
  • New 15 Passenger Shuttle: Permit holders with ‘A’ or ‘S’ permits may take the continuous shuttle from the 10th Avenue Strip Mall area to behind the Memorial Union.

Visit the Campus Shuttle webpage for shuttle route information.
