Curb & RTU / Crane Work – Parking Lot Notification
Reason for shutdown: Curb & RTU work on/around Starcher Hall
Buildings affected and contact person: Starcher Hall
Comments: Working with Linfoot & Construction Engineers
Pick Plan 1: Curb
-Arrive on site Monday (8/25) – Start on the smaller curbs (line set curb and tall cone) to get a feel for how this product operates.
-Tuesday (8/26) – Start on large RTU curb. Smaller CLL crane will be on site to assist in getting this located and set as it is too large to move by hand.
-Wednesday (8/27) – Finish roofing of large RTU curb. – Set duct drops into place. – Any last-minute items needed (elec/controls)
Pick Plan 2: RTU
-Thursday (8/28) (6am on site for the crane) – Crane arrives to set RTU. – This will be a 50 ton since the smaller CLL crane is unable to pick up the weight needed at this distance
-This crane won’t fit into the driveway area so they will need to stay out in the parking lot area further
-The hope is to get the RTU set and get the crane off campus before it gets too hectic
They will need the parking spots located in the red area along the west of the lot marked off to allow room for the trucks and trailers. Duston tells me these are all spots that typically require special passes. These will need to be marked off on Tuesday and Thursday at the very least and CLL will open them back up as soon as they’re available.
