Babcock Hall demolition to affect nearby parking through August

Starting Monday, June 8, a summer-long demolition project will begin at the site of Babcock Hall.

This process is expected to last through early August and will affect parking nearest the work site.

The section of the Carnegie Lot immediately west of Carnegie Hall will be closed starting June 15 to allow for equipment staging, and parking stalls in line with the Campus Road east entrance will be closed to provide better access to the work site.

The remainder of the parking lot south of Carnegie Hall and south of Upson II will stay open to permitted parking.

Reserved parking stalls for Carnegie Hall will be relocated south of Carnegie Hall throughout the project.

An image below shows the area affected by the closure. Vehicles hauling debris will follow Campus Road west to Strinden Road, which leads north to University Avenue.
