Art exhibition by UND students featured at artist talk Oct. 20, closing reception Oct. 22

The exhibition was curated by Todd Hebert, UND associate professor of art & design and recipient of the Mayor’s Choice Artist Award

An art exhibition by UND students, “Who, What, Where, When and…,” will be featured in a closing reception hosted by the Grand Forks Public Arts Commission, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at the Public Arts Commission Gallery, 615 1st Ave. N., Grand Forks.

The exhibition was curated by Todd Hebert, UND associate professor of art & design and recipient of the Mayor’s Choice Artist Award.

Hebert and artist Blithe Grey will hold a curator and artist talk, with time for questions, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, also at the PAC Gallery. All are welcome.

Featured artists, all UND students, are Tamara Breon, Kylee Danks, Madison Fossum, Blithe Grey, Ashley Nelson, Tyler Pierson, Jacqueline Raatz, Andrew Youngblom.

“These works are objects of delight made in the face of doubt,” Hebert said. “Much of the work in the show was created within the last year. While some of the pieces reflect the uncertainty felt during that time, all embody a curiosity for what is still possible in art making.”

The display was previously exhibited at the Altru Professional Center, but an opening reception was not held due to COVID-19 restrictions.
