Ellerkamp driven to benefit the small business community in Dickinson

DICKINSON, N.D. – In collaboration with Stark Development Corporation and West River Business Center, the ND Small Business Development Centers (ND SBDC) are pleased to announce the hire of Matthew Ellerkamp. Matt will serve as the Business Advisor for the Dickinson SBDC.

“We are thrilled to have Matt joining the ND SBDC network in the Dickinson area,” said Tiffany Ford, ND SBDC State Director. “The region has been gaining significant momentum with small business growth over the last few years and we are excited to have someone with Matt’s passion for community and small business encouraging that entrepreneurial spirit, and powering the ecosystem in the region.”

With a background in banking and an MBA from the University of Mary in Bismarck, Matt brings significant professional experience to this role. As an owner/partner in a local small business, he has effectively integrated creativity into a typically more structured business setting, fully utilizing his innovative spirit. He has a track record for success, great interpersonal skills, and an energetic drive which will continue to benefit the small business community in Dickinson.

“Being a business owner, I understand the excitement, struggles, fears, and joys of starting and maintaining a business. The key to my success in business is the ability to establish a solid client practitioner relationship, this is done by being an active listener and effective communicator,” said Matt. “I like people, building authentic relationships, hearing people’s stories, and trying to do what I can to advise or help them along the way. The funny thing is, when I try to help people, I find that I really am the one who benefits.”
