Who: Tatanka Means, Indigenous actor, comedian and entrepreneur

When: Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., 30-minute Q and A following the speech, and then meet-and-greet from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Memorial Union, Ballroom D

Background: Fresh off his appearance in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, comedian, Hollywood actor and apparel entrepreneur Tatanka Means will give an address in the UND Memorial Union, Ballroom D, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Following the speaking event, there will be a 30-minute Q and A session, and then a meet-and-greet session. The event will conclude at 8:30 p.m.

According to his bio, Means “performs stand-up comedy throughout Indian Country spreading laughter and messages of motivation and inspiration to all ages. He is one of the busiest and most sought after touring Native comedians. Means has developed his own apparel company, Tatanka Clothing, which is street wear designed to uplift and inspire cultural empowerment.”

He was also named “Entertainer of The Year” by the National Indian Gaming Association and is “proud to be both an alcohol and drug-free sober performer.”

Means is currently filming Kevin Costner’s new epic western saga, “Horizon.” He can be seen next in “Wind River: Rising,” “Outer Range,” and “ECHO,” which will be out next year.

Passport parking is available on the ground floor of the ramp located at the corner of North Columbia Road and University Avenue.
