Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium coming again to UND

The symposium will provide networking opportunities for industry professionals, academia, students and the community

What: IEEE 4th Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium 2024 (CARS’24)

Who: Mark Hagerott, chancellor for the North Dakota University System, will give opening remarks, Prakash Ranganathan, director for Cyber Security Research at UND, will also speak, and several other distinguished academics from universities across the country, as well as industry leaders, will participate in the symposium.

When: Oct. 28-29, starting at 8 a.m.

Where: UND Memorial Union Ballroom

Background: The fourth annual Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Cyber Awareness and Research Symposium 2024 (CARS’24) will again take place at UND from Oct. 28 – 29.

The symposium will provide networking opportunities for industry professionals, academia, students and the community. Conference attendees will gain an understanding of emerging concepts in artificial intelligence, (AI)-driven threat intelligence, data science for cybersecurity, advanced persistent threats (APTs), and open-source intelligence (OSINT).

CARS is a great way to stay informed about the current cyber threat landscape. It caters to a broad audience of academics, students, and industry professionals through its featured line of talks based on awareness and research themes.
