UND Honor Band, Choir & Strings Festival is postponed
Dangerous temperatures force event to be rescheduled for a later date
Organizers of UND’s 41st annual Honor Band, Choir & Strings Festival have postponed the four-day event because of the dangerous cold temperatures forecast for the region.
The event, expected to draw hundreds of high school musicians from across North Dakota and Minnesota, originally was scheduled to begin Thursday and run through Sunday. All related rehearsals and concerts will be postponed until a later date.
UND is sending this announcement in hopes that radio, TV stations and other news media share the alert to prevent any early morning bus departures from school districts throughout the region. The University encourages everyone to stay safe.
