UPDATE: UND – Grand Forks closed at 5 p.m. TODAY, Thursday, Jan. 22, due to weather

The University of North Dakota Main Campus in Grand Forks closed today at 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, due to extremely cold temperatures.

Today’s closure includes the UND Wellness Center, Chester Fritz Library and Memorial Union. Wilkerson Dining Center will remain open for students during the closure.

Essential personnel should report to work, as scheduled. If it’s not safe for you to travel, please notify your supervisor. Non-essential personnel should not report to work during the closure.

UND will continue to monitor the weather and provide further updates, as necessary.

People should bundle up, wear hats, mittens, scarves and appropriate footwear.  If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.
