UND Theatre is excited to open the 2026-27 season with \u201cThe Addams Family<\/strong><\/a>\u201d on a new stage at Starcher Hall.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Addams Family\u201d is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, featuring an original story and a dilemma that is every father\u2019s nightmare.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family \u2014 a man her parents have never met.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And if that wasn\u2019t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he\u2019s never done before: keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday\u2019s \u201cnormal\u201d boyfriend and his parents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the first time since 1962, UND Theatre has a new performance space. The new Starcher Stage, located in Starcher Hall, will be unveiled on opening night of \u201cThe Addams Family\u201d on Thursday, Oct. 8.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An opening night ribbon cutting will start at 6:45 with celebrations before the show and food and drinks at intermission. Join the Department of Theatre Arts as it opens the state\u2019s premiere black box theater and embarks on a new era of UND Theatre.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
