UND to host Droning On: Great Lakes Edition Oct. 13-15

The Federal Aviation Administration has nine national regions within the U.S. Each region is expanding outreach with in-person events. The goal is to highlight the societal, economic and educational benefits of drones for the general public through a series of events focusing on different audiences. The event is entirely free and open to the public.

Droning On: Great Lakes Edition will take place Oct. 13-15 at the University of North Dakota. The event consists of three days of panels, lectures and demonstrations:

Thursday, Oct. 13: For Students and Educators
-Universities and colleges with UAS programs
-Companies/organizations that are looking for drone professionals
-Tools for educators

Friday, Oct. 14: For Public Safety and State/Local/Tribal Governments
-Public Safety Training
-Agricultural uses of drones
-Local Government best practices and resources

Saturday, Oct. 15: For the General Public
-Drone Demonstrations
-Local Drone Groups
-How to get started
