Paul Lindseth’s retirement reception is Wednesday, Nov. 30

The UND community is invited to celebrate the retirement of Paul Lindseth, professor of aviation and former dean of the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.

A cake reception will be held in Lindseth’s honor on Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Robin Hall, in the first-floor atrium.

Retiring after nearly 35 years of service to the University, Lindseth was the third dean in the College’s history, from 2016 to 2020.

Lindseth’s first position at UND was as a flight instructor in 1985 following nearly 10 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. At UND, in the Odegard School, Lindseth has also served as assistant chair of the aviation department, assistant dean for academics, interim chair of space studies and associate dean for academics.

“We are grateful to Dr. Lindseth for his many years of service to the School as a Professor of Aviation, associate dean under Bruce Smith, and then for his time as the dean,” said Bob Kraus, dean of UND Aerospace. “He was instrumental to the success of the programs at all levels and has helped build UND Aerospace into the premier flight school in the nation.”
