The half-day, virtual conference, hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, features presentations and panel discussions with representatives from states in the Ninth Federal Reserve District. For Flynn, this will be his third time speaking on behalf of North Dakota.

Flynn is slated to speak for 15 minutes, followed by Q&A, during the State Economic Conditions session starting at 10 a.m.

Prior to the state-by-state presentations, at 9 a.m., Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari will be joined by Mike Roman, CEO of 3M, for a fireside chat about economic challenges facing the manufacturing sector.

Registration, as well as more information about the conference, is available on the Minneapolis Fed website.

Flynn’s presentation on North Dakota’s economy will stem from his expertise as an analyst and forecaster in matters of employment, tax and economic variables in the local, regional and state economies.

In addition to his role as professor, Flynn is the research director at UND’s Institute of Policy and Business Analytics at the Nistler College of Business & Public Administration. He is also the Clow Family Banking Fellow in the Department of Economics & Finance.
