2023 Leadership Award nominations are open, due March 23

The Student Involvement & Parent Programs Office is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Leadership Awards. This event recognizes student leaders, faculty/staff advisors and student organizations for their accomplishments during the 2022-23 academic year.

We highly encourage you to nominate a student for the Lillian Elsinga Outstanding Student Leader Award. This award recognizes students who have exhibited exceptional leadership skills through their campus involvement, volunteer service efforts, on-campus employment or other life experiences.

All nominations are due by noon on Friday, March 24.

Students do not have to be involved with a student organization to be eligible for this award. The nominees for Outstanding Student Leader only need to have displayed strong leadership characteristics through some aspect of their campus experience (organizations, classrooms, on-campus employment, etc.).

We are also accepting nominations for the Outstanding Advisor Award and Student Organization of the Year Award. These awards are submitted by students for their organizations. If you work closely with students and see the great work that they are doing within their recognized student organizations, we hope you will tell your students about this opportunity.

Recipients of the awards will be honored at the Leadership Awards Reception to be held on Friday, April 21, at 3 p.m. in the Memorial Union Ballroom.
