Berosik has served the position in an interim capacity since August 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are really excited about the future of data-informed decision-making at UND, and I think Matt has the background, skills, and institutional knowledge to lead this effort,\u201d Holm said. \u201cHe is a North Dakota native, has his doctorate in Educational Foundations and Research, has worked at UND in various positions since 2014, and has served in University Analytics &amp; Planning for five years as a research data analyst and as assistant director.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, his year as interim director provided him with the opportunity to expand his understanding of UND\u2019s need for data that helps us prepare and plan for the future of higher education in North Dakota, the region, the nation and the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berosik expressed his enthusiasm about accepting the director and CDO position.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to building on the excellent work our office has accomplished as we continue our transition to a more data-empowered campus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In his position as the director of University Analytics &amp; Planning and CDO, Berosik will provide leadership for the data management, institutional reporting and strategic analytic processes of the University. He will help promote a culture of data-informed decision-making and strategic planning.<\/p>\n<p>He earned bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees in Biology from UND and a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations and Research, also from UND. He has published in the area of developmental neurobiology and sense of place-based education, and his current scholarly interests include the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive and prescriptive analytics to enhance educational outcomes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Berosik, a UND graduate, previously worked in University Analytics &amp;
