{"id":92792,"date":"2025-05-06T16:03:02","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T21:03:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.und.edu\/uletter\/?p=92792"},"modified":"2025-05-06T16:03:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T21:03:02","slug":"research-participants-needed-for-flight-simulation-study","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.und.edu\/uletter\/2025\/05\/research-participants-needed-for-flight-simulation-study\/","title":{"rendered":"Research participants needed for flight simulation study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A team of UND researchers is investigating how haptic cueing affects situational awareness during flight.<\/p>\n<p>The group is seeking volunteer pilots for flight simulation sessions that will employ tactile\/haptic cueing with the goal of improving pilot situational awareness in flight, as indexed by several process indices (eye-tracking and electroencephalography) and various performance measures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>What to expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">One session lasting 1.5 to 2 hours<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Use of an advanced flight simulator<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Non-invasive EEG and eye-tracking data collection<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Short questionnaires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Compensation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Receive a $25 gift card or two SONA credits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Who can participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Age 18+; fluent in written and verbal English; private or commercial pilots license; Class I, II or III Medical; Instrument Rated or have taken AVIT 221.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Interested?
