VIDEO: ‘Students are why we’re here,’ says President Armacost

It’s been a joy to watch the campus come back to life, UND’s president says in video message

In this video, President Armacost starts with a surprise contest; watch to win!

He thanks the campus community for the members’ hard work, and notes that it’s been a true joy to see the campus come back to life this semester. It was the spirit of UND that helped the campus reopen safely and in the right way, the president notes.

He thanks legislators for their hard work in the recent special session, discusses revamping the Strategic Plan and invites involvement, and wishes students well as they approach final exams.

“Students are why we’re here,” Armacost says, adding that UND’s goal is student growth.

He also mentions last week’s faculty and staff Town Hall on the federal vaccine mandate, and notes that the recording and Q&A are available. He encourages vaccination to protect everyone, and wishes the UND community a successful end of the semester and peace over the holidays.
