“UND LEADS” launches with event on Friday, Jan. 20

UND’s newest Strategic Plan will be introduced by President Armacost and guest speakers in Memorial Union

UND President Andy Armacost would like to invite the UND community to join him for the launch of “UND LEADS: A Strategic Vision for the University of North Dakota.”

The event will be held in person and will also be live-streamed. It will take place on Friday, Jan. 20, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Memorial Union’s Ballroom C (Room 214).

The University’s new Strategic Plan will be introduced and discussed at the launch. Guest speakers including Joonghwa Lee, associate professor of Communication; Caitlin Milera, director of the North Dakota Space Grant Consortium; Chih Ming Tan, professor of Applied Economics, Economics and Finance; Tyler Burmeister, director of Student-Athlete Development; and Anna Roaldson, a Master of Public Administration student and the School & Youth Coordinator for Special Olympics North Dakota, will be among those describing the UND LEADS plan’s five pillars: Learning, Equity, Affinity, Discovery and Service.

“UND LEADS does not have an end point,” President Armacost writes in his letter introducing the plan. “Its five pillars – Learning, Equity, Affinity, Discovery, and Service – will be UND’s foundation for years to come; the strategies and priorities for each pillar may change, but our commitment to these underlying principles will not.

“This plan focuses on the ultimate outcome of an exemplary public research University fulfilled by UND’s collective vision to inspire a sense of wonder, a love of discovery and a commitment to serve.”

A reception will immediately follow the launch.

Parking will be available for non-UND permit holders in the Ramp on Levels 4 and 5.

If you’d like to attend in person, please RSVP here. Members of the UND community also can attend the event virtually by registering here.
