VIDEO: Events to watch for at UND

Keep an eye out for post-Spring Break events and lead by example, says President Armacost in latest video message

For his latest video message to campus, President Andrew Armacost highlights some upcoming events following Spring Break.

The 54th Annual UND Writers Conference is happening this week, Thursday through Saturday, March 23-25, at the Memorial Union and online, the president notes. Check out the conference’s website for more details, including a list of distinguished authors and artists coming to campus.

Admitted Students Day is on Friday, March 24. Incoming UND students and their families will be touring campus and learning about the University. If you run into these students and newcomers on campus, please take the time to offer a warm welcome and talk about the impact of UND, Armacost asks.

Armacost also references upcoming stories in UND Today regarding Women’s History Month and Disability Awareness Month, both of which take place in March, as well as UND hosting the North Dakota Colleges & Universities Disability Services Council on April 3.

For the latest information on UND in relation to North Dakota’s legislative session, there is a page on UND’s website dedicated to the topic, he says.

Armacost then shifts to the topic of Native American Repatriation. He asks members of the campus community to be considerate of those impacted by the ongoing process, as well as to be kind and courteous in maintaining a friendly and welcoming campus community for all.
